Secret Army Supplies - Game, Set and Match

Here's a bunch of tracks that were recorded on to one side of a storybook cassette...

Can You Smell My Bell Mix 3 by Gibs
Love in a Disco by Gibs
Models of Yesteryear by Hodgie

Jase if you let me a know a title for the unknown track I think it would be nice to put it on the main site - let me know --- also I have loads of webspace (20GB) that I can let you have access to if you want to use for files, mp3s etc...

Well, what can I say?
I think those three tracks put my secret stash to shame... I guess.
• CYSMB3 - One of my all time faves
• Love in a Disco - Amazing, but probably one of reasons we had to stop doing Gibs!
• The last track - never had a name - but thanks for the best recording of it I've heard in a long time. I'll give it the name now... Its now called 'Models of Yesteryear'.

Cool name - A bit of hiss reduction (not too agressive - really makes the sounds stand out more on the track). I remember with Love in a Disco we actually wrote the lyrics first -- something along the lines of I did 2 lines then you did 2 lines kind of thing... still comes out as incomprehensible lunacy!

How do you feel about slapping your latest track up on the site as well - I need one more tune to balance out the design (i.e. 1 extra tune leaves 1 column longer than the other). You can use my webspace - i'll send you the FTP details if you like.

i've started mp3ing at 192kbps now as there is so much space - it's especially good for newer tracks to maintain the fullness of the sound...

"The noise they made was incredible!"

- I have yr ftp info already, Karl passed it on. I'll send up a 192kbps of Rotation post haste!

The Gibs tracks are both ludicrous classics.

Rotation is at 160kpbs - that's fine.

Just listened to Love in a Disco again, and, yeah - I do rememeber writing for this one. Was this the only Gibs track we actually wrote lyrics for? Maybe not.

The way we wrote the lyrics was a bit like that kids game for drawing funny monsters where you draw the head at the top of the page then fold that piece over so you couldn't see it then pass it on so another person draws the body etc...

Saying that, I think a track called 'Rock-up bong Jr.' by Clem and I was done like that too. So there you go!

Jon and I used to write GWF lyrics one line each, pretty much. Except, occasionally, one of us would start with a full lyric.

jase - have you uploaded rotation yet?
