For Example take this strangeling - Around the World with Sooty - I bet this was Frank Sidebottom's favourite record as a kid - have a listen and and see for yourself:
Side 1Other ones that might interest you include a luvly version of The Pied Piper read by Dear Larry Olivier which contains some really nice music of a flutey kind of nature. Also relive the future with the Missile Command read along - and if you can understand it please provide a translation for me.

bonjour monsieur sooty and bonjour monsieur sweep!!
that's more frank than I'd care to admit!!
not sure how it works if sooty can't talk but he can sing??
Harry Corbett was a proper mad hatter!! Interesting facts: Both Harry AND Sooty received an O.B.E. and Harry bought the original Sooty puppet for 38p.
Oh, I thought you said the magic of Italy?

No way -
I don't know about Frank but it was my favourite record as a kid!
Just think about the pitch for the record: "OK, there's this puppet and he doesn't talk..."
My favourite bit was -
Sweep: ZZZZ ZZZ ZZZZ ZZZ..etc.
Harry: What's a railway bridge doing in the middle of the road? That's not a railway bridge, that's the Arc de Triomph.
Genius
Lol! Great Stuff!
bloody heck.... my laptops going into meltdown...
what I was trying to say (see previously deleted comment) was:
can anyone remember the actual name of the Tomita "whistling dog" tune?
Thanks
