'We're so happy about the imminent release of Colne Valley Chaos 6' and just wanted to let you all know how godammed stoked we are for it down here! Tom and Barbara are going apeshit next door listening to loads of their old Giblets and Cheese cassettes and dancing like maniacs! lol! Much as we love the old stuff, Gerry is particularly keen on The Genital Wart Factor, we can't wait to hear if the new stuff kicks as much ass! Lastly, we would like to thank TWAIN for helping us with some of our marital issues, we like to watch his Sexwatch videos and then play some of his tunes whilst exprimenting with some of the things he mentions in his broadcasts. Of course not ALL of them, the spatula is bent right out of shape after we went too far last week. LOL!
well anyway, that's all for now
don't forget to mail us a copy
love
Margot and Gerry

Fog, have all the compo's been split up in to separate tracks and given the relevant meta-data? I'm guessing not, but if so - it would be ace to have all six in one package and put on one mp3 CD! Saving the environment and all that.
no - don't know how to do that - can you do that with Mp3s that have already been created? That is a good idea though a bumper release of all the old comps on one CD!
I couldn't really afford the time to split all the tracks of all the comps but what I am asking is whether you can apply 'chapter stops' to a continuous MP3 file in the same way that you would do on a DVD so that you can flick forward and backward between the tracks without actually having to seperate them.
There is a way of doing this, but the only way I can think of is in Garageband on the Mac.
You create an empty podcast then drag in the MP3, add chapters, then export it as a podcast.
I'm not sure if the chapters show up in any other player but iTunes. They should work on the newer iPods too.
It's crude.
Best thing to do is the time consuming way, by splitting up the wav and saving the tracks separately. Then naming them individually after the MP3 conversion - adding track order and continuous play attributes etc.
I'd do it if I had the time - maybe when I start commuting over the weekends on the train in a few months.
Trouble is I deleted some of the earlier wavs when going on a merciless HDD purge!
I think it was only CVC1 and one of the CHAOS comps that bought it - could easily resample them.
Think of it in a Lynchian way - You know that the DVD of MULHOLLAND DRIVE has no chapter stops at the request of the director? Well, this is the same thing - in order to experience the full majesty of the CVC comps you need to listen to each side in one go!!
P.S. I love it when Margo talks dirty!
Yeah me too, I admitted to Ebony that I kinda fancied Margot and she looked at me like I was wrong! Surely I should fancy Barbara? No Sorry, Dirty Posh Margot for me every time!
Maybe I shouldn't post this kind of thing on the Internet...
